Systems Set-Up

Staff may need access to some university systems, depending on specific faculty affairs responsibilities. The two main systems used at USC are

FAM (Faculty Affairs Management)
Workday

Staff entering faculty salary or contract information need access to Workday. Staff assisting with faculty hiring need access to FAM and Workday. Please check with your department business manager and Viterbi Business Affairs to determine which systems and level of access are needed.

FAM is the University's faculty applicant management system. All applicants must apply for an open posting through FAM by way of the job posting on the USC Careers web site.

New users should sign and complete the forms below and submit them to the Viterbi Faculty Affairs staff in the Dean's Office for final processing. Once access is granted, individual training can be scheduled.

Workday is the University's human capital management system. Please check with your business manager to determine what level of administrative access is appropriate. Workday is used to create faculty requisitions, manage faculty payroll, and monitor faculty leaves. A number of tutorials are available online at https://trojanlearn.usc.edu/
