  • On November 29, 2018, USC HR deployed new Workday functionalities for hiring and onboarding student, faculty, and postdoctoral employees. With this deployment, we introduced several integrations and workflows for improved efficiency and accuracy in hiring and onboarding. Please review the updated Hiring and Onboarding pages, which include links to new QRGs for hiring faculty and students, as well as the PowerPoint used during information and training sessions.
  • Effective Thursday, January 10, 2019, once the pre-hire records are integrated from FAM to Workday, the Review Employee Hire action will be the first step in the Faculty Hire Process in Workday. This will allow HRPAs to review and update the details of the hire, including the Annual Work Period (AWP) and Disbursement Plan Period (DPP). The Propose Compensation task will follow once the Review Employee Hire action is completed. For your convenience, please review the Faculty Workday Hire Process QRG.
